11/12/2015 - INVEST IN A FAMILY HEIRLOOM . . .
About 10 years ago we spotted a stunning design antique rug at auction. A William Morris design, this rug is thought to have been woven at Merton Abbey soon after Morris relocated there from Hammersmith in 1881. This rug had an outstanding provenance: Rounton Grange, a country estate in Northallerton, Yorkshire, England designed by Philip Webb in 1872-76 for industrialist Sir Isaac Lowthian and Lady Bell.
