A young Missouri self taught craftsman who does outstanding work in several media.
His bookcase, bookstand, chest, clocks, cabinets, mirrors and tables shown here are usually crafted in quarter-sawn white oak although Brett also works with African mahogany and other hardwoods on request.
His joinery is mortise and tenon both thru and blind. Drawers are dovetail. Joints are splined. All the right woodworking techniques for good craftsmanship.
   
Bretts craftsmen stains are (L to R above):
Eastwood (previously his Dark Craftsman Finish), a deep rich red with copper color quarter-sawn flake
East Aurora (previously his Medium Craftsman Finish), a lighter version of the Eastwood Finish, Burnt Orange with copper color quarter-sawn flake
Walnut (new, not available on Mahogany pieces), a deep brown with golden quarter-sawn flake
Ebonized Oak (new, not available on Mahogany pieces), a rich black with chocolate quarter-sawn flake.
Custom stain colors are also available on request. Brett finishes his pieces with a high quality catalized lacquer which is then waxed and buffed for a nice even finish.
Mirrors have a wire for hanging.
On occasion Brett has some pieces in stock, but more often than not Brett builds to order and a 50% deposit is required with your order.
Shipped from Missouri, based on Brett's workload the lead time can vary from 2 to 8 weeks which we can better estimate when you place your order.

1) Reproduction Stickley Book Stand shown in the Dark Craftsman Stain
Mortise & Tenon construction, arched lower shelf and 'D' shaped handles.
The two center shelves are not movable: bottom shelf is 10.25" clear, 2nd lower shelf is 9.25" clear and 3rd shelf is 8.5" clear.

Square box cabinet of quarter-sawn oak with tapered corner posts in the manner of G W Maher.
Quartz movement 4 1/2" clock face with Arabic Numerals (Roman Numerals available on request).
Closed back; the clock mechanism can be removed from the front of the cabinet to change time or replace the single AA battery.
Dimensions: The clock is 10 3/4" wide at the top, 10 1/4" tall and 4 1/8" deep with a flat back so it can sit next to a wall or gallery top bookcase.
