Les Thede grew up on an Iowa farm and learned to appreciate hard work and hand-built items. He learned and eventually taught Engineering in Ohio and found woodworking both a satisfying and challenging hobby. The hobby turned into a small business and the shop was not only a place to work but also to relax from the stresses of modern society. Les had no problem practicing social distancing during recent times, he had been doing that for years! Hope you like his work!
Les' Arts & Crafts Table Lamp is a classic design featuring a wood framed shade that holds orange colored mica panels. The mica panels are accented with a patinaed copper pine cone motif. Crafted from quarter-sawn oak, the base is accented with walnut inlays.
The lamp stands 19" tall; the shade is 17" square and the base is 7" square.
The lamp has an 'S' type socket cluster for two bulbs and there are two separate pull chain switches.
We recommend a maximum of 40 watts for an incandescent bulb so as to protect the mica from bulb heat.
If more light is required, then a CFL or a LED bulb is appropriate to increase brightness without creating a serious heat problem.
The lamp is carefully packed for shipping in an oversized box.
The lamps are crafted in small lots upon demand so they are not always in stock.
