Les Thede grew up on an Iowa farm and learned to appreciate hard work and hand-built items. He learned and eventually taught Engineering in Ohio and found woodworking both a satisfying and challenging hobby. The hobby turned into a small business and the shop was not only a place to work but also to relax from the stresses of modern society. Les had no problem practicing social distancing during recent times, he had been doing that for years! Hope you like his work!
Les' Clocks are crafted in Ohio of locally harvested hardwoods that are kiln dried.
The frames are joined by overlapping joints secured with glue and the characteristic square plugs.
The back of the clock is removable to replace the movement battery or change the time.
Quartz clock movement with a sweeping second hand (no rhythmic jumping).
11 1/4" tall X 11 1/2" wide x 4 3/4" deep.
The clocks are first finished with shellac and then poly, followed with a hand-rubbed coat of wax.
Wrapped in bubble wrap and then surrounded by packing beads the clock are shipped in an oversize box.
